Canvas "The Courage of the Open Sea"

When I close my eyes,
It seems like I can do everything,
Just give me freedom and some money,
and forgive me for at least a year
from all loans, obligations
and then you will see -
I will go around the world.
on foot or by boat -
with icy oars in the polar cold.
I will get up early to travel more,
to experience and taste
of life, adventure, love,
and whatever happens, I will be sorry,
even if I end my days in a cave.
Because through this journey I will discover myself.

And now I'm afraid to open my eyes,
because I suddenly realized that I had everything:
Freedom beats in the heart, a boat lies in the garage,
I can even leave today.

But not yet, I'll stay a little longer,
for an hour, or maybe until the very end.
The boat sails empty towards the sunset,
from wave to wave.
