If you were no longer in the world, would I still be alive? I would breathe, I would talk, I would read books, I would walk through town, I would listen to music in my headphones and it would move me, and maybe I would even sing like I once heard you sing. Work would fill the empty hours, and in the evening I would fall into the deepest dream from which I would not want to wake up, because in the morning everything would be the same - without taste, without warmth, without meaning. I would live, but would I still be alive? My days and nights are just numbers on the calendar, I follow how they pass, looking back I see how much has already passed, but I don't feel anything for them, I am a dead machine. How we talked with words, hands, eyes, how we lay under the Milky Way without feeling our bodies, and somewhere at the edge of the sky a dark ocean was breathing and it seemed that we can fly there, if only you hug me tighter. Before dawn you opened the window and listened to the approaching footsteps, no one else could hear them, still too far, hundreds of kilometers away, but you already hear, I see your face in the window, we touch each other before sound, light or thought could reach.
