CANVAS "LOVE HURTS, LOVE SAVES"

I was standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to fall - or fly - not yet knowing what would happen.
It was so scary, as if before saying "I love you".
As if shedding the armor of strength, and leaving bare skin. Face facing the wind, open chest, outstretched arms, empty palms.

Who am I now - when money, names and medals mean nothing?
I am as helpless and helpless as the day I was born.
But, Lord, what an ease it is to be only human.

Maybe this is the moment I believe I am a soul.
Is the flame of a candle in the middle of the night, under an infinite number of stars, under billions of years of the Universe; there is no wind, it is calm, only on the blackening horizon you hear some sound, as if it is approaching, it is coming - and you wait with a heavy heart.

It was so scary!
But I didn't want it any other way - let anything happen, if only faster. That one step that decides everything. That one short word.
Say it, I say to myself and say it.
"I love you."

And I flew.
Just for a short moment - to the dark cold waves, to the devouring depth. But for that brief moment I had no regrets. I had no regrets, I knew I would do it again and again and I would as long as the fire didn't go out.

And next time I will fly long.
